National Geographic Channel shoots into space as the series MARS premieres internationally on November 13th.
Set in 2033 the series follows Earth’s first crewed mission to Mars.
In the miniseries, from Oscar winning Ron Howard and Brian Grazer, upon landing, the crew will immediately begin to secure a limited base camp and with the first human settlement established, the crew must sustain itself until future landings in 2035 and 2037. The carefully selected international crew of six are uniquely suited to take on this monumental step for humans, and are supported by the best team on the ground.
Fast Management’s latest artist, Jihae, plays Hana Seung a mission pilot and software engineer. Hana is a NASA-trained pilot. Hana and her twin sister, Joon, have dreamed of traveling into space since childhood, and Hana’s position as second in command on the mission to Mars is the result of a focused career.
Mars, the six-part series from executive producers Ron Howard and Brian Grazer, tells the fictitious story of Earth’s first crewed mission to Mars in 2033 — while weaving in the very real efforts happening in 2016 to get us there.
The series will premiere on Nov. 13 internationally in 171 countries to 450 million homes on the National Geographic Channel.

The 7.9 magnitude earthquake that hit Nepal last week has seen many people help in the effort to raise funds for those affected in the tragedy. “I started charity print sales several years ago first with Tao Okamoto for the Japanese earthquake appeal, and about one and a half years ago with Naomi Campbell, Tao Okamoto, Mariacarla Boscono, Fei Fei Sun, Andreja Pejic, Rob Evans, and Tian Yi for Typhoon Haiyan (Yolanda) appeal. From those projects, I’ve become aware how much of a positive difference I can make simply through my reputation and talents as a photographer,” the photographer says about the project.
