We love our photographer and dear friend John-Paul Pietrus because he never stops thinking of how to help others through, the sale of his work, when help is truly needed.
Two years ago he teamed up with Naomi Campbell on a charity print sale to raise funds for the victims of Typhoon Haiyan in the Philippines, when the print run was exhausted he carried on by bringing on board supermodels Mariacarla Boscono, Tao Okamoto, Fei Fei Sun, Andrej Pejic, Rob Evans and Tian Yi who paired with him in the sale of images he had taken of them and continued in his fundraising activities.
Earlier this year, he teamed up with Cindy Crawford and produced and limited edition of ten images of Cindy herself, signed by both him and her with all proceeds going to the Red Cross Nepal Earthquake Relief Fund.
And now, following a recent trip to Belgrade where he saw, first hand, the current refugee crisis and the plight of thousands in search of safety for their families, he decided to reach out to models Coco Rocha and Filip Hrivnak who kindly agreed to support and endorse his appeal.
50 gallery archival prints on 11 X 14 in matte paper will be made available for each model. Filip’s cause goes to the British Red Cross while Coco’s goes to UNICEF. Each print is sold for 50 GBP and one can get the two prints for 85 GBP if purchased at once (plus shipping and handling on top).
Proceeds of the charity drive will be posted on his Instagram @johnpaulpietrus.
STOP, THINK AND PLEASE SUPPORT.

After Picasso: 80 Contemporary Artists features nearly 150 works in a variety of mediums. Among those included are such Picasso peers as Brassaï, Ernst Ludwig Kirchner, Henri-Cartier Bresson, and Dora Maar. Plus you’ll find contemporary masters like Jasper Johns, Andy Warhol, Roy Lichtenstein, Cindy Sherman, William Wegman, Louise Lawler, Sigmar Polke, Amy Sillman, and Fred Wilson.
After Picasso offers the perfect bookend to Transfigurations: Modern Masters from the Wexner Family Collection, which featured 19 works by Picasso and inaugurated our 25th Anniversary Season last September. Originally titled Picasso in Contemporary Art, the exhibition was first presented at the Deichtorhallen Hamburg on the occasion of its own 25th anniversary and curated by the institution’s general director, Dirk Luckow.
The 7.9 magnitude earthquake that hit Nepal last week has seen many people help in the effort to raise funds for those affected in the tragedy. Supermodel Cindy Crawford and photographer John-Paul Pietrus are doing their part to help with funds by selling ten limited edition prints of the supermodel signed by both Cindy and Pietrus. Available for $1,000, 100% of the funds of the 20×24 print will go towards the British Red Cross for the Nepal Earthquake Appeal. You can also do your part by visiting RedCross.org.
“I started charity print sales several years ago first with Tao Okamoto for the Japanese earthquake appeal, and about one and a half years ago with Naomi Campbell, Tao Okamoto, Mariacarla Boscono, Fei Fei Sun, Andreja Pejic, Rob Evans, and Tian Yi for Typhoon Haiyan (Yolanda) appeal. From those projects, I’ve become aware how much of a positive difference I can make simply through my reputation and talents as a photographer,” the photographer says about the project.
If you are interested in purchasing one of the limited edition prints please contact the photographer, John-Paul Pietrus at email@example.com
