HISTORY MADE AT THE 2026 CANNES FILM FESTIVAL

Congratulations to the talented Tao Okamoto who made history at the 79th Cannes Film Festival by sharing the Best Actress award with Virginie Efira for their acclaimed performances in the film “All of a Sudden”. Tao Okamoto becomes the first Japanese actress in history to win the Best Actress award at the prestigious festival.

Directed by Oscar-winning filmmaker Ryusuke Hamaguchi, the drama explores a profound friendship between a theater director battling cancer (Okamoto) and a care facility director (Efira).
